Lokotrack LT160E mobile jaw crushing plant
The Lokotrack® LT160E™ mobile jaw crushing plant is an electrically driven unit. It is also available with an on-board diesel generating set for all functions or track driving only. Depending on the application and customer needs, the Lokotrack LT160E can be delivered with various feeding configurations.
Features
The Australian company Boral has started a new operation at its Peppertree Quarry in Marulan, NSW, to meet the high demand for aggregate in the heavily growing Sydney metropolitan area. The flagship of the new quarry is the Lokotrack® LT160E™. The average capacity of the plant is 1 150 mtph (1 270 stph) of 0–500 mm (0–3 5⁄8”) primary crushed graniodite. The Lokotrack LT160E discharges to the Lokolink™ LL16, which transfers the primary product further to the field conveyor, taking the material to the next crushing phases. Safety has been one of the major engineering criteria set by the customer, which can be seen in the design of the unit.
Advanced Metso IC™ process control system enables the entire primary crushing plant to be operated from the excavator cabin. High reliability, low operative costs, and safety in operation make the Lokotrack LT160E the number one choice for any quarry or mine operation with a high capacity requirement.

Process overview
LT160E is used in primary crushing stage. It is typically loaded with an excavator or wheel loader. Vibrating feeder transfers the oversize blocks to the jaw crusher which reduces them to the desired size. Undersize material drops through the grizzly directly on to the main conveyor which discharges the primary product further in the crushing process. Optionally fine gradations can be directed to the side conveyor.
How it works
LT160E is track mounted fully mobile jaw crusher plant. It can be moved flexibly in different locations at the site. The Lokotrack LT160E power transmission is a combination of electric and hydraulic drives. Electric power transmission offers the possibility to use electric power either from the external grid, or generated by the on-board diesel generating set. The Lokotrack LT160E can be equipped with a grizzly feeder, or alternatively with a pan feeder and vibrating grizzly. For scalping sticky feed materials, a wobbler grizzly is also available. LT160E can be loaded also by mobile apron feeder (MAF).
The unit can be monitored remotely by applying optional gateway communication link between the IC machine automation system and plant management system.
Lokotrack LT160E can be used with fully mobile Lokolink mobile conveying system. It is also available with several other options such as rock breaker and high pressure water spraying system.
