To ensure rapid on-site deployment for recycling projects, Freimuth Abbruch und Recycling GmbH decided to acquire a MOBICAT MC 100 R EVO from Kleemann. The compact and easy-to-transport jaw crushing plant is currently demonstrating its flexibility and high productivity in a former brewery in Berlin-Friedrichshain.

Freimuth Abbruch & Recycling GmbH was founded in 1965 and is one of the three largest demolition and earthwork contractors in Germany. Machinery in operation already includes four Kleemann impact crushers. Good practical experience has already been collected with the plants. The search for a mobile jaw crusher for flexible operation ended quickly with the choice of the MOBICAT MC 100 R EVO. It impressed with its short makeready times, which permits fast set-up and removal and thus rapid relocation of the plant.

The compact dimensions of the plant for transportation were also decisive. For Max Becker, responsible for material planning and construction equipment leasing at Freimuth, it was important that the plant could be put to use quickly without having to obtain numerous authorisations. “Thanks to our transport permanent authorisation for flat bed trailers, it is no problem at all to transport the MC 100 R EVO to places of application at short notice. This allows us to react quickly and flexibly.” This makes crushing directly at the building site possible, which, in turn, avoids tipping fees.

The MC 100 R EVO is currently in use on extensive premises in Berlin-Friedrichshain. A former brewery is being demolished and the brick and concrete rubble is now being processed. Mario Anton operates the plant on site: “The tracked mobile plant proves its value on the uneven ground. It can be moved simply without having to organise transport.”

A total of 20,000 cubic metres of material will be crushed within 12 weeks. The finished material with a grain of 0-56 mm is then filled into the excavation pit and compacted with the help of a roller. In spite of the unhomogeneous and thus difficult material, in normal circumstances the jaw crusher has an hourly output of 80-100 tons. The high throughput of the comparatively small MC 100 R EVO plant is confirmation for Freimuth GmbH that they made the correct decision.

The family enterprise is also satisfied with the service. Since commissioning, which was accompanied by Kleemann Service staff, the machine has run trouble-free and without having to change any wear parts. Based on co-operation up to now, Max Becker also knows that the Wirtgen Group branch in Hamburg is a reliable partner and is quickly available on site in the event of problems.
